A former Clandeboye resident,
Mrs. Melvin Meads, has been at
Masonvilla Hospital, London,
since December 20,1949. She had
previously been at Victoria Hos-
pital. She observed her 86th
birthday October 5. She sits up
in a chair each day and is quite
tiny in stature.
Mr. & Mrs. Jim Hodgson lived
in the house of the late William
John Hodgins in the village and
then moved to London. She has
been at Masonvilla since her
husband's death in 1963. She cele-
brated her 93rd birthday in No- r.
vember. She is a great help in
visiting the other patients. She
has one daughter, Mrs. W. Finch
in USA.
Mr. Robert Flynn is also a
patient in Masonvilla. His wife
died ten years ago. He has one
son, Cline of London and one
daughter, Mrs. Harold Broder-
ick, Exeter.

home near Clandeboye with a
male attendant.

A service of welcome of the
Grand Bend and Greenway con-
, gregations for Christian friends
of Calvary Church, Dashwood,
who, with other EUB churches
in Eastern Canada have entered
the United Church of Canada will
be held in Grand Bend United
Church on Sunday March 3 at
7:30 p.m.
There will be a mass choir
of the three chorches. Following
the service, there will be a time
of fellowship for all, in the Sun-
day school room.

Rev. E. 0. Lancaster arranged
a meeting of St. James cemetery
board to meet at St. James church
last Wednesday night to make
plans for the year. The committee
includes Andrew Carter, ceme-
tery superintendent, Jack Murdy,
sec.-treas., Rae Hodgins, Jack
Whitmore, Jim Cunningham, M.
J. Simpson, Austin Hodgins, Mur-
ray Carter, Tom Jones, Alan Hill,
Alton O'Neil, Robert Hodgins.
Sunday was observed in the
United Church as Youth Sunday.

Man suffers
crushed leg

ed a badly crushed leg on Thurs-
day as he was helping to load
cattle into a truck at his barn.

aqaa peau de sole. The styling
of the gowns was identical to that
of the brlde.They wore matching
rosette headpieces touched with
cocktail veils and carried hand
bouquets of miniature pink car-
nations.

with yellow rose corsage and the
groom's mother chose a kelly
green suit with white rose
corsage. A reception and dance
was held later in Dashwood Com-
munity Centre.
For travelling in the United
States the bride wore a flowered
jersey dress with beige coat
and black accessories.
The couple will reside in Lon-
don.
