The popular Reeve's knowledge of golf came in handy when it came to tabulating the final score. While the score was 8-5 for the Legion boys, the referee's knowledge of golf handicapping was given a chance to work and the score was reduced to 6-5. For several shifts on the ice the regular Kinsmen team was replaced by a group of Kinettes and this gaye Boyle the oppor- tunity to apply his golf scoring know-how. The girls were instrumental in spoiling a shut-out for Jim Newby who guarded the nets for the Legion in a last minute switch of goalies. Shirley Pratt guided the puck into the net and the assist was given to Val Callingham who aided the cause greatly by block- ing out Newby. The Legion goal scoring was well spread around with singles going to Gerry Lawson, Bob Baynham, Chub Edwards, Bill Musser and Keith and Murray Brintnell. Lloyd Moore notched a pair of goals while Bill Heywood and Cal "Crusher" Wein scored for the Kinsmen to help the Kinettes in their scoring efforts.
