Centralia United Church was
well-filled Sunday morning for
the Thank-Offering service.
A song service preceded the
opening of the service with Miss
Sharon Lightfoot as organist,
Miss Judy Blair, pianist, and
Rev. It, V. Wilson as violinist.
Rev. Wilson conducted the ser-
vice and in his sermon pointed
out that the church's supreme
message is the Cross of Jesus
Christ and its saving effects.
Just as a merchant puts his
best products in his show wind-
ow to attract customers, so the
church should keep in the fore-
front the Atonement.
"Believers appropriate the
saving benefits of the cross when
they repent and seek to put into
practise the self-giving of Christ.
