She demonstrated the use of apples in the prepar- ation of various recipes. After the completion of the business, the food she had prepared was served to the members. Mrs. Irvin Finkbeiner presented a paper on current events, home economics and health. Mary Hodgins contributed a piano solo. It was decided to hold a ban- quet for senior citizens. Mrs, Harvey Hodgins and Mrs. Walter Weber were appointed delegates to the area convention The rest of the evening was given over to discussion of plans for the Hobby Fair scheduled for October 25. People are encourag- ed to submit for display paint- ings, needlework, mats, hats, dolls, antiques, novelties, croch- eting, tatting, knitting, jewellery, coin and stamp collections, photo albums, quilts,. It is planned to have someone painting, another quilting, and another making a mat; to set up an old-fashioned kitchen and a display of old- fashioned clothing. Hostesses were Mrs. E. CHURCHES WILL UNITE The concluding adjourned ses- sion of the Canada Conference of the Evangelical United Breth- ren Church was held in Waterloo October 10 12 with Rev. M. J. James and Donald Geiser attend- ing from Dashwood. January 1, 1968 all Evangelical United Brethren Churches in On- tario will be a part of the United Church in Canada.
