Although the promise of bikini-clad beauty contestants attracted a good crowd to the Kinsmen auto show,
Friday, most agreed that the contestants were more adorable in their pretty party dresses. The tots who
entered the show are, from the left: Kim, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Dobson, Exeter; Lisa, daughter
of Mr, and Mrs. Robert Hammather, Exeter; Brenda, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Don Brunslow, Exeter;

the day and at most polling places,
voters had to splash through
water to get to cast their ballots.
Surprisingly enough, in some
communities the voting was
heavier than in the last election.
In Exeter, a total of 1,485 persons
cast their ballots, compared to
1,433 in 1963.
Part of the credit would have
to go to the PC party workers,
who got on the telephone to offer
rides to those who might other-
wise have not ventured out.

win over PC Fred Edwards, who
had held the seat for the past 22
years.
The Hon, William Stewart re-
tained his seat in North Middle-
sex with a majority of almost
2,500 votes over Liberal Denzil
Patterson.
Murray Gaunt retained the Hur-
on-Bruce seat for the Liberals
with about 2,000 votes over PC
Roger West and Lorne Hender-

fice recently travelled to Korea
to discuss the program with
Korean officials and assist in
the selection of candidates.
The trainees will arrive in
November and begin their farm
placements in mid-December.
The program marks the first
time that Canadian External Aid
Office has co-operated ,n a tech-
nical aid assistance project of
this kind which has been fully
financed by a Provincial Gov-
ernment.
The Ontario government has
already undertaken two projects
in the Caribbean in co-operation
with the Federal Government.
Earlier this year it collected
200 tons of hospital equipment
which was shipped to the Carib-

Horse bylaw
—Continued from front page
Mayor Deibridge also doubted
that the town should get involved
in the stabling business.
After the horsemen left, coun-
cil debated the subject for a few
minutes and then went on to their
regular business. It was indicated
that a committee which studied
the matter last week favored
limiting the distance of stables
from residences to 100 feet.
MORE COMPLAINTS
During the discussion of hors-
es, Reeve Boyle reported RAP
members were very disturbed
over the fact a horse had walked
across one of the flower beds
near the swimmingpool recently.
Dr. Read pointed out these in-
cidents have nothing to do with
the bylaw and the matter should
be handled by the police, the
same as they handle offences of
motorcycle drivers, etc.
Cpl. Harry VanBergen report-
ed the matter of the park incid-
ent had not been reported to the
police, but after he found out
about it one week later, he
straightened the situation out.
Other members of council also
reported incidents regarding im-
proper riding or tethering of
horses, and the horsemen again
pointed out this was a matter
for the police to handle,
Councillor Ross Taylor sug-
gested that owners of horses
should be charged a licence,
similar to the one for dogs.
c ,You have as much right to pay
as a dog owner,H he told the
horsemen.
