EDGAR SQUIRE Whenever friendS arrive for an evening get-together, cheese very often joins the party, If you keep several types on hand it is easy to arrange a colorful cheese tray. Fresh fruit such as grapes or pears, along with crackers and potato chips, add interest and flavor enjoyment. Everyone is interested in tast- ing a new type of cheese. Gour- mets say that 'the only way to learn about cheese is to eat it". From the fifty or more types now being made in Canada, it is inter- esting to select several of the lesser known ones for sampling. However, plan to have larger amounts of the old favorites on hand. Serve it at room temper- ature for best flavor. Cheese can be used in count- less ways for party appetizers: their best to earn their Cords. Once again, thanks to the driv- ers, the trip was worth the drive, and the afternoon well spent and much enjoyed by all.
