cated which was donated by Mr.
Bill Lambourne, London, as a
memorial to his mother, the
late Mrs. L. Lambourne who
was a former Member of St.
Patrick's Church prior to her
marriage. She was Sarah Ann
Atkinson and attended public
school and church in this com-
munity. Mr. Larnbourne will be
soloist at the service.

Sunday evening to 38 friends and

A fine display of fire works
Was enjoyed by old and young.
The evening was spent in music
and, the hostess assisted by sev-
eral friends served refresh-
ments.
The host Mr. Clarence Davis
was observing a birthday and the
birthday cake was in the centre
of the table. Friends were pres-
ent from Wiarton, London, Lis-
towel, Varna, Lucan and Cen-
tralia.

Church service was held in
Kirkton United Church Sunday
May 14 at 11 am. Guest speaker
was mr. Hathaway of Court-
wright, the temperance repres-
entative.
Sacrament o1 Baptism was also
held. Those baptized were Mar-
lyne Leona, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Ronald Denham and Stephen
John, son of Mr. and Mrs. John
Ulch.
The junior choir provided a
special anthem. Mrs. Fred Swit-
zer presided at the organ.
Flowers in St. Paul's Anglican
Church Sunday morning were
placed in memory of the late
Mr. John Ward of St. Mary's.

The pupils of SS 2 Hibbert and
their teacher, Mrs. Earl Kemp,
entertained the parents at their
May Red Cross meeting Friday
afternoon. Many of the pupils and
parents were in C entennial dress.
Ron Miller was chairman and
the program opened with several
choruses by the pupils accom-
panied by Judy Jeffery.
Two plays were presented by
the pupils which were enjoyed.
Several quartet numbers were
sung by girls. George Roney gave
a humorous reading and Janet
Allen played a piano solo. Con-
tests were enjoyed followed by
lunch complete with a Centennial
cake served by Mrs. Kemp and
the girls.

UCW ENTERTAINS
Many of the ladies from Chisel-
hurst and Roy's UCW arrived in
Centennial dress at the Family
Life Centre in Staffa Wednesday
evening, Mary 1'7 to be enter-
tained by the Staffa UCW.
Mrs. Ross Smale presided and
opened the worship service with
the theme "Family Life.Scrip-
ture was read by Mrs. Cameron
Vivian. Two vocal numbers were
contributed by a Seaforth trio.
Miss Vera Hambley presided
for the business when plans were
made for the annual strawberry
supper to be held in June. A
Centennial reading was given by
Miss Olive Speare,
Mrs. Jack Paris, Mitchell, was
guest speaker for the evening. She
took everyone on a most interest-
ing imaginary trip to Australia
by word and picture. Mrs. Paris
was thanked by Miss Vera Hamb-
ley. Refreshments were served
in Centennial fashion.

hibition at Montreal. Among them
are: Her Majesty Queen Elila-
beth, King Constantine of Greece,
Austria's President Franz Jonas,
Queen Juliana of the Netherlands,
and Prince Rainier of Monaco.
Prince Rainier will be ac-
companied by Princess Grace
