of the bride's Sunday School
class. Also fellow employees at
the London Life held a surprise
shower when she received many
useful gifts.

vows in James Street United
Church rooms, Exeter, Friday,
May 10 at 7 pm with Rev, S. E.
Lewis officiating.
For her marriage the bride
chose an Oyster silk brocade suit
with pastel mink trim, matching
accessories, pink Swiss hairpin
weave hat and corsage of pink
Sweetheart roses,
Mrs. Donald Mousseau, lien-
sall, attended her sister as
matron of honor wearing an A-
line dress and matching jacket
and accessories and corsage of
pink roses. James Russell, Ex-
eter, was best man for his
brother.
A family dinner was held at the
Dufferin House, Centralia. The
bride's mother was gowned in an
antique gold silk knit suit with
green orchid corsage. The
groom's mother chose a green
brocade dress with yellow orchid
corsage.
The couple will make their
home at 219 icingscourt Cres-
cent, Exeter. The bride is cur-
rently on the London Public
School teaching staff and will
teach at Exeter Public School
next term.

cousin of the bride, all of Lon-
don, were gowned in green, pink
and blue respectively, styled
identically to the maid of honor.
Each wore headpieces of peau
de sole petals in the same colors
as the dresses with short illus-
ion veils. The flower girl, Jodie
Lynn MaaIntyre, wore a long
white nylon chiffon over peau de
sole gown with yellow band and
a how at the back holding a train
of white nylon chiffon and a
white and yellow petal head-
piece. Ringbearer was Dean
Boyle, Dashwood, cousin of the
groom.
Larry Johnson, London, was
best man. Robin Douglas, St.
Thomas, Everett Mellin, bro-
ther of the bride and Jim Squires
Dresden, ushered the guests.
The reception was held in the
Village Inn, Grand Bend, where
the bride's mother received
guests wearing a three-piece pink
suit of viscose linen and white
accessories. The groom's
mother chose a blue three-piece
suit with lace overblouse and
matching blue accessories. Both
mothers wore pink rose 'cor-
sages.
A dance followed the recep-
tion. The bride changed to a
dress and coat ensemble of
orange linen with brown acces-
sories and a white orchid cor-
sage before leaving for a honey-
moon in. Davenport, Iowa, and
points east.
The couple will live in Lon-
don where the groom is employ-
ed with McManus Motors and the
bride, at the London Life.

Mrs. Orval Mellin entertained
at a trousseau tea for her daugh-
ter who, with her mother and
the groom's mother, Mrs, Harold
Hughes, received guests.

held at Hook's Restaurant, where
the bride's mother received
guests in a pink and blue chiffon
two-piece ensemble with white

Friends and relatives gathered
last Tuesday to surprise Mr.
and Mrs. Lloyd Hern, Exeter, on
the occasion of their 25th wedding
anniversary.
After a dinner at the Dominion
Hotel, Zurich, the 30guests from
Chatham, London, Kirkton and
Exeter, returned to the home of
Mrs. George Davis, Exeter,
where the evening was spent in
playing euchre.
Mr. and Mrs. Hern were pres-
ented with several gifts and the
evening was concluded with a
buffet lunch, highlighted by an
anniversary cake.

Church at 3 o'clock Saturday,
April 29 when Rev. G. E. Morrow
in a double ring ceremony united
in marriage Maxine Mildred Mel-
lin and Harold Wayne Hughes.
The bride is the only daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. Orval Mellin.
The groom is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Harold Hughes of Dresden.
Miss Sharon Lightfoot, Cen-
tralia, played the wedding music
and accompanied the soloist,
Miss Jean Kennedy, Grand Bend,
who sang the Wedding Prayer
and 0 Perfect Love.
Given in marriage by her father
the bride chose a floor-length
empire styled gown of acetate
taffeta, a short round-necked de-
tachable jacket with long lily point
sleeves held a cathedral length
train embroidered with lace. The
slight A-line skirt was accented
with a row of lace down the front
and a bow at the bodice. A ros-
ette of illusion petals with pearl
drops held her elbow-length five
tier veil of illusion lace and she
carried a cascade of orchids,
orange blossoms and trailing ivy.
