S—T-R-E-1—C—H YOUR FOOD DOLLAR FURTHER WEEK END SPECIALS FOR JANUARY 26, 27, 28/67: FROZEN FOOD -- Continued from page 4 Another way we have learned to get around our men is through his stomach, but being wives we know this is not the only way. We could put on a new negligee (very carefully chosen, of course) and wear his favourite perfume and make a few trips past father one evening in a stride of feminine charm, yawn and say "goodnight, darling", and enter your boudoir behind locked doors. When the knock comes (as surely it will) just say sweetly "no, no, with the hair on your chinny, chin, chin you can never come in." I'm sure you will both realize within a very few minutes that your hubby has just had a very "close shave." But no matter how clever we are, there are going to be a few persistent men who will refuse to part with their beard, and to those of you who must face up to it I feel there is only one thing to do. Enjoy itj Go down and buy all the cream puffs, candies and goodies you deprive yourself of to try and keep off those extra pounds and have a feast, and when hubby suggests you are gaining weight just tell him that since he has decided to wear a beard to celebrate our centennial year, you have de- cided to grow your own centennial bustle and he'll just have to take a "broader view" of the situa- tion. Wishing you all the best of luck. Betty Barkley Stillmeadow 20-oz. pkg. CHICKEN & CHIPS Y2 gal.
