voiced their desire to take the

An interesting dress-fabric

noon chaired by Mrs. Sheridan
Revington, a past president.
Roll call was answered by
"Do's and don'ts for the sick-

All were delighted to have
District President, Mrs. Calvin
Carmichael as a guest at the
meeting. She spoke briefly. A
previous appointment necessit-
ated her leaving early so before
her departure, Miss Lina Ab-
bott repeated her centennial poem
and also read the poem of Mrs.
Fred Heeney of Ingersol, which
won the area award.
It was decided instead of send-
ing for Muscular Dystrophy boxes
this year, that a donation of
$5 be made. A doll for the War
Memorial Hospital was on dis-

unteered to provide clothing for
it.

Friday night Nov. 18 the ilder-
ton District Lions minor hockey
teams played host to the Lucan
teams, and I must say they were
very hospitable as they lost all
three games, the pee wee's fell,
to a score of 4-2, the bantams
3-2 and the midgets dropped their
game 5-2. Lucan won this one
without the help of their star
forward Andy Hardy, as Andy was
sitting out a game misconduct
penalty, compliments of the pre-
vious game.
The Lucan novice team are still
rolling with a full head of steam as
they drubbed the Lambeth team
last Saturday 10-0, Next Saturday
they meet the Exeter team. This
should be a very good game.
Public skating is still a very
good success here at the centre,
as we had very good crowds both
Saturday night and Sunday after-
noon.
The regular Saturday night
dances are improving all the time
and we hope this continues,
There is skating for girls only
every Friday here at the centre
from 4-5 pm.
This coming Friday night the
Huron East minor hockey teams
are here to play the Lucan teams.
First game starts at 7 pm sharp.
