home Wednesday afternoon for
the November Guild meeting.
Mrs. Hugh Davis, president was
in charge. She led in devotions
assisted by Miss Sharon Davis,
Mrs. Ron Carroll and Mrs. Heber
Davis,
Reports followed with the roll
call answered by nine members
and one visitor with a yard of
material or thread for quilts.
The mystery prize donated by
Mrs. Maurice MacDonald was
won by Mrs. Clarence Davis.
Plans were made for a Hobo
tea at the home of Mrs. Charles
Weiberg, Exeter, and a quilt-
ing to be held Tuesday, Nov.
22 at the home of Mrs, Earl
Greenlee.
Refreshments were served by
the hostess assisted by Mrs.
Herman Atkinson and Mrs. Hugh
Davis.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Gardiner
Exeter, were Monday evening
guests with Mr. and Mrs. Clar-
ence Davis.
Sunday evening Mr. Leslie
Greenlee was honored with a
birthday dinner by his parents,

THAMES ROAD
Sunday evening the Youth Fel-
lowship group held a church ser-
vice with the President Bill Jef-
fery in charge and Miss Ava El-
ford and Clifton Webber assist-
ing.
The choir was made up of
members of the Fellowship Group
which sang a number with Miss
Agnes Bray at the organ and
Mr. Ross Rowe at the piano.
Miss Leona Douglas, mission-
ary on furlough from Japan, was
guest speaker for the evening.
HAPPY DOUBLES CLUB
The Happy Doubles Club met
Wednesday evening with the
theme for the meeting bei ng
"Compassion and Humility". The
worship service was given by
Arnold Cann assisted by Mrs.
Cann, Mr. and Mrs. Lorne Bat-
lantyne. Readings were given by
Mrs. Reg Hodgert and Arnold
Cann.
Mr. and Mrs. Mac Hodgert
who were to the Holy Land re-
cently, showed their pictures and
gave a talk about them which
were much enjoyed.
It was decided to have the
Christmas banquet Friday even-
ing December 2. The members
of the club are selling mixed
nuts. Several contests were en-
joyed. Lunch was served by the
committee in charge, Mr. and
Mrs. Lorne Ballantyne and Mr.
and Mrs. Arnold Cann,
