mark 53 years wed

The second meeting of the pro-

was held Tuesday, March 1.s, at
the home of the assistant leader
Mrs. B. McGregor. The roll call
"The basic color theme of my
wardrobe" was answered by
seventeen girls. The name of the
club is to be "Seventeen Tuck-
ers".
The members decided to have
navy covers with white lettering
for their record books.
The girls took notes on planning
accessories; accessories to

Mrs. Jim Donaldson presided
for a program and gave a read-
ing "Things My Grandmother
Told Me" followed by a singsong
and a reading by Mrs. David
Kestle "Yesterday and Today."
Two groups were formed for a
singing contest, Mrs. F r ank
Hardy won the grandmother's
gift and Mrs. Art Hodgins won a
shamrock plant.

Christopher William Tilbury,
London, father of Mrs. Arnold
(Elsie) Lewis, Clandeboye, died
in Westminster Hospital, Wed-
nesday, March 9 and was buried
Saturday, March 12 in Woodland
cemetery. He is survived by four
other daughters and one son, also
20 grandchildren. Mrs. Al Hoggarth, vice presi-
dent of the Presbyterian Arnold
Circle, chaired the meeting in
the church basement Monday eve-
ning and entertained those pre-

ment and the new one which re-

Club for the project "Accent on
Accessories" was held at the
home of the leader, Mrs, Ken
McLean. The assistant leader
is Mrs. Jean McGregor.
Officers elected are: Presi-
dent, Patricia Harris; vice-pre-
sident, Donna Stoll; pianist, Bar-
bara Gemmell; secretary, Janice
Eyre; press reporter, Donn a
Whitehouse; telephone and lunch
committee girls, Gwen McLean,
and Lois Jackson. It was decided
to have a floating secretary.

night Hensall Pee Wees defeated
Mildmay Pee Wees 6-5 in the
second game in the best two out
of three series in WOAA play-
downs. Game was tied at 5-5 at
end of regulation period With a
ten minute overtime. Gary Sar-
aras connected for the winning
goal, Playoffs are now tied at
one each.

The UCW meeting was held
Tuesday evening, March 8 with
28 ladies in attendance.
Preparations were discussed

SENIOR CITIZENS MEET
The March meeting of the Se-
nior Citizens' Club was held in
Staffa Hall Tuesday evening with
members of the Russ eldale
Friendship Club as their guests.
The president Mr. Darrell Park-
er presiding and Mrs. Robert
McCaughey at the piano, opened
the meeting,
Routine business was dealt with
and committees appointed for the
April meeting as follows: Pro-
gram, Mr. D. Parker and Mr.
Wilbur Miller; lunch, Mrs. Ro-
bert McCaughey and Mrs. Wilbur
Miller. Community singing was
enjoyed. The remainder of the
evening was spent playing euchre
with eight tables in play.
High scorers were Mrs. Ro-
bert McCaughey and Mrs. C.
Harmer; low scores went to Mrs.
C. Dow and Mr. Gordon Dow. Mr.
T. Laing had most lone hands.

pitalized in South Huron Hospital,

proving in health,
