Brinsley UCW met at the home
of Mrs. Jack Hodgson. Group III
Leader, Mrs. Cecil Hartle opened
the meeting with the devotional
assisted by Kathleen Morley and
Mrs. Witherspoon.
A chapter on Brazil was given
by Mrs. Mac Allison assisted by
Mrs. Wasnidge, Mrs. Neil, Mrs.
Witherspoon, Mrs. Hartle and
Kathleen Morley. A poem on
"Friendship" was given by Mrs.
Clarence Neil and a reading by
Mrs. Wasnidge.

er and gave a descriptive and
informative talk on the new math
taught in the schools,
Next meeting will be April 3
and the speaker will be John
Bell of St. Marys Journal Argus
staff on his trip to Russia.
EXETER LAWYER SPEAKS
A smorgasbord pot luck supper
was held for Kirkton WI members
and their families in Kirkton in
Aberdeen Hall.
Guest speaker was Elmer D.
Bell, Exeter, who spoke on
"Wills" giving valuable informa-
tion in his humorous style. He
was thanked by Harold O'Brien.
Mrs. Archie Dewar gave a
reading, Wendy Blackler favored
with a piano solo and Carl Mills
sang some old Scottish numbers
with Mrs. Charlie Paul at the
piano.
CROKINOLE PARTY
The Class That Counts held
its meeting Thursday evening
in the basement of the church.
Mrs. Jack Robinson was in charge
of the worship service assisted
by Mrs. Cliff Scott, Mrs. Robin-
son read an article on the life of
St. Patrick.
Mrs. George Burgin conducted
the business. The roll call was
answered by an historical fact
about Ireland.
A crokinole party was enjoyed
by the class members and the
friends they had invited. Lunch
took the form of a box social.
4-H CLUB MEET
Kirkton 4-H Club No. 1 met
at the home of Mrs, Earl Wat-
son Monday, Feb. 1. Roll call
was answered by 11 members.
Notes were given out. Mrs.
Duncan demonstrated how to
make and join true bias and
blocking and applying the head
size ribbon. The members then
pinned their patterns for their
hats on their material.
BOARD EUCHRE
The hall board sponsored a
progressive euchre in Aberdeen
hall Monday night.
