ROSS SKINNER ELIMVILLE The Elimville 4-li Club girls of the Elirnville Club No. 2 held their first meeting for the pro- ject "Accent on Accessories" at the home of their leader, Mrs, Edward Johns, There were 14 girls and two leaders present. The election of officers was held. President is Brenda Skin- ner, vice president; Mary Prance; secretary, Sandra Skin- ner; press reporter, Anne Herd- man. The name of the club was selected as Elimville Model A's. Notes were taken on acces- sories to compliment the cos- tume, wardrobe planning an d basic styles. Several acces- sory trims were shown and hat styles. "The Rule of Fourteen" was demonstrated. Mrs. Johns served lunch. The second meeting of the Elimville Model A's was held last Monday evening at the home of their leader Mrs. Ross Skin- ner with 13 girls and two lead- ers present. Mrs. Skinner dis- cussed "Planning your acces- sories" and "Accessories to compliment you". Some trims were demonstrat- ed and made by the girls. Lunch was served at the close. The third meeting of the Elim- ville Model A's was held Monday evening with 14 members present at the home of Mrs. Ross Skin- ner. Mrs. Ed. Johns discussed "Scarves and care of scarves". Mrs. Skinner explained tie-dye- ing and Mrs. Johns demonstrated the hand-rolled hems. Miss Brenda Skinner showed how to mix the dye solution. Every mem- ber tie-dyed a sample. Miss Susan Allen demonstrated cutting bias. The samples of corded piping and covered cord were made. By MRS. WM. WALTERS The first 4-H Club meeting for the spring club "Accent on Accessories" was held last Mon- day evening at Mrs. Jean Lynn's. The mothers of the 10 Club mem- bers were present. The leaders are Mrs. Ron Fletcher and Mrs. Elson Lynn. Election of officers was held. President is Sandra Dickey; press reporter, Kathy Hern. Achievement Day is May 14. Notes were given on "The Finished Look, Accessories to complete wardrobe and wardrobe planning." PERSONALS Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Walters visit- ed their cousin, Mrs. Kervin Werner in London Friday. Mrs. John Coward visited with Mr. & Mrs. Bob Bibby and fam- ily of Kirkton Wednesday., Mrs. Bev Morgan of Thames Road visited on Sunday with Mrs. Newton Clarke. A family party was held at Elimville Hall Saturday evening when they celebrated Mr. & Mrs. Grant Ratcliffe's 20th wedding anniversary. Mr. Robert Latta returned home from St. Joseph's Hospital, Sunday after being hospitalized for a week with pneumonia. Mr. & Mrs. Harry Murless and their daughter and family, Mr. & Mrs. Max Bloye and daugh- ters, Cheryl and Susan of London attended morning service at Trinity Anglican church, St. Thomas. The rector, Rev. J. F. Wagland, a former rector of Clandeboye and Lucan Anglican churches, took the service as- sisted by Rev. C. Cook. Follow- ing the service they all, called on Mr. & Mrs. Wagland, Philip and Joyce and afterwards were entertained by Mr. & Mrs. Al- fred Bloye in honor of their granddaughter Susan's 16th birthday. Other guests were Mr. Glen Mote, son-in-law of the Bloyes' and their grandchildren Beverly, Brenda and Jimmy Mote. H, PATON Mrs. Almer Hendrie returned home from a visit with her daugh- ter Mrs. Bill Downing in Chat- ham. She also called on Rev, & Mrs. L. C. Harrison. Saturday evening Mr. William Allwright was entertained at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Clare Paton on the occasion of his 63rd birth- day. Sunday Mr. & Mrs. Wilfred Logan, Thorndale entertained for him. Guests included Mr. & Mrs, J, H. Paton, Mr. & Mrs. Clare Paton and family and Mrs. Aileen Riehl, London.
