To All Our Customers:
May we take a few moments to write
you a personal "Thank You"?
Too often the niceties are brushed
aside in this hectic business world. So
rather than just say, °Merry Christmas
and Happy New Year', may we add a very
sincere wish that our association will
continue to be both pleasant and satis-
fying, and that we may be given the
chance to serve you for many years to
come.
Our very best regards to you and
yours this Holiday Season.

Dreams came true this month
for Mrs. Ross Jaques, RR 1 Wood-
ham, and Mrs. Ottmer Anderson,
RR 1 Siren, Wisconsin, when they
got together for a visit after being
pen pals for 26 years.
Mrs. Jaques as a girl of ten
years had her name sent with
other Mission Band members as
desiring a pen pal. Mrs. Ander-
son, then a girl of 11 years, drew
the name of Helen Anderson from
her public school teacher as a
pen pal. She confessed later she

paid 15 cents for the name so a
little profit was being made on the
side.
The girls corresponded fre-
qu e ntl y, sometimes twice or
three times a week but as they
grew up and had beaux the letters
became fewer but never stopped.
The girls made a pact that they
would visit each other on their
honeymoon but apparently the
grooms had a say about that and
it didn't happen.

elling by train to Chicago and then
to Minneapolis where she was met
by her friend and family and after
a 90 mile drive to Siren she spent
a week with the Andersonfamily.
She has happy memories of that
visit "for they were so good to
me in every way and wouldn't let
me do a tap of work”.
Mrs. Anderson keeps a bait
store and sells hunting and fish-
ing equipment. She had hoped to
take Mrs. Jaques ice fishing
with her but they didn't make
it. Mr. Anderson commutes to
Minneapolis each day (a distance
of 90 miles) where he is a mach-
inist. They have a son and daugh-

has one son.
Mrs. Jaques estimates she tra-
velled over 1,000 miles but "it
was well worth it" she says.
