G. W. Sach. President Mrs. Charles So-vereign and Mrs. Sheridan Revington greeted guests at the door. A large number of mem-bers assisted at the booths to make the event such a fi- nancial success. At the coun-try store booth were Mrs. Cecil Robb and Mrs. Orville Jones; knitting and sewing, Mrs. Eldon Young, Mrs. Harvey Latta and Mrs. Lloyd Mason; aprons, Mrs. Ross McRoberts, Mrs. Ed. Melan-son and Mrs. Charles Grose; Christmas tree, Mrs. John park and Mrs. H. B. WHITE GIFT SUNDAY Sunday was White Gift Sun-day with Superintendent Cliff Culbert presiding. He was assisted by Sandra McLellan and Jim Hear; who read the Scripture. The music was led by the junior choir and the pastor Rev. G. W. Sach told the story, "When the Chimes Rang." As each class passed the altar, they placed their gifts in the basket provided, and sat in groups. The two bask- ets containing adult gifts were carried in by Dennis Maguire, Allan McPhee, Su- san Crozier and Mary Mar- garet Mohr. The White Gifts will be sent to the Saugeen Indian Reserve, near Southampton and the money donations will go to the needy. HI C Sunday evening, 21 mem- bers of the Lucan-Clande- boye Hi C answered the roll call. Co-president Leroy Lucan Maguire presided. Wendy Cronkite, Marilyn Hearn and Nancy Park led in the wor-ship service. Plans to pool cars to take elderly people to church were discussed and also the dance Dec. 29. Lunch committee was Margaret Sach, Sandra Mc-Lellan and Nancy Park. SS CHRISTMAS PARTY Tuesday, Dec. 21 is the date set for the annual SS Christmas party. Anglican Flowers on the altar Sun-day were in memory of Mrs. William Brownlee, who passed away a year ago. Flowers in all the church-es were donated by the Nu-way Motors. BOARD MEETING At a board meeting in the Parish Hall last Tuesday evening, there was a report on the year end canvass and a discussion on the Canada Pension scheme. CHRISTMAS TREES Mr. D. A. Ashworth is again selling C hristmas trees, the proceeds of which he donates to the church. Pentecostal Holiness It has been found necess- ary to change the date of the Christmas concert from Dec. 9 to Thursday Dec. 16. Catholic The meeting of the CWL was highlighted by a dinner party at the Shillelagh, after which the 21 members met in the old schoolroom for a short business session, ex- change of gifts, and a sample of each other's Christmas cake.
