The Christmas- meeting of the UCW was held in the schoolroom of the church. Thursday evening. 'The mee-ting opened with piano selec-tions. by Mrs. Alvin Essery followed by a short intro-ductory message "Christ- mac- Is- Always" by Mrs. F. Bowden. The Bible reading high-lighted with comments on how "to get more- out of your Bible reading' was given by Mrs. Earl Haist, Mrs. Rus-sel Wilson favored with, a vo- cal solo; Readings were giv-en by Mrs. George Hicks and. Mrs. K.. Greb. Taking Part' in a ladies quartette were Mrs. Dil. Elliott, Mrs. .1. Es-sery, Mrs. L. Hicks and Mrs.. W. IL Essery. A skit "Gifts that money can't buy" was put on by

was voted to- Children's- War Memorial Hospital and $75 to Westminster College Lunch was served at gaily decorated tables and ladies in charge followed the trad-itional Christmas menu. UCW BAZAAR AND TEA A color scheme of red and gold was carried out in the decorations for the bazaar and tea in the schoolroom of the church Saturday after-noon. Included in the settingwas the old fashioned p a r lo r scene featuring a fireplace, rocking chair, hearth rug and accessories. Guests were welcomed bythe Presi-dent, Mrs. K. Qreb and as-sisting at the door were Mrs. S. Skinner and Mrs. Chas. Hollings. The bazaar was of-ficially opened by Rev. D. M. Guest.

Mor-gan, Mrs. E. Powe and Mrs. W. Elliott. PERSONALS Miss Wilda Pollock of Kit-chener was a weekend guest with her sister, Mrs. Lorne Hicks. Mrs. Amos Wright is a patient in South Huron Hos-pital, having been admitted for treatment Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ken Greb were Sunday guests with Mr. and Mrs. Urban Pfile in Zu-rich. Mr. and.
