"Safety Spike"-a new kind of winter tire ,
from Goodyear
T HE Goodyear Tire Sc Rubber Company of Canada
has just introduced an amazing new winter tire that
actually bites into solid ice.
It is called the "Safety Spike" winter tire because it
has over 1 oo tungsten carbide "spikes" in the tread. It
gives the driver a tremendous amount of traction and
control, even on wet, slippery ice.
The "Safety Spike" also has the proven Suburbanite
tread design that is famous for getting through deep
snow.
This year, motorists aren't buying winter tires until
they've seen the revolutionary new "Safety Spike" by
Goodyear. (If you have a modest tire budget, "Safety
Spikes" are also available in retreads.)
