brief suggests that the Parkhill
Dam be proceeded withbut points
out that undue financial hard-
ship should not be placed on
any municipality.
The building of dams on large
and small streams should be
proceeded with as rapidly as
possible to provide public rec-
reational sites as well as water
storage facilities throughout the
southern part of the province.
Conservation authori-
ties should prepare and work
according to an official plan in
the same way that municipalities
do.
The conservation authorities
should continue to retain the
power to expropriate lands under
reasonable judicial limitations
as this power is necessary in
order that authorities may carry
out schemes of land aquisition.
In conclusion the Town of Ex-
eter endorses the concepts of
conservation, resource manage-
ment and control of environmen-
tal pollution and urges that the
best machinery possible be es-
tablished to carry out this es-
sentlal work.
