We did not hear the Master say
Her earthly work was done,
Nor did we hear Him calling,
When He gently whispered
"Come".
She took His hand and softly
smiled,
And left us for a litte while;
Thy will be done, seems hard
to say,
When one we loved has passed
away;
Some day, perhaps we'll under-
stand,
When we meet her again in
that promised land.
