producing cheap hogs for a few
big packers and this will mean
the end of all the small pack-
ers and farmers who raise
hogs, for the simple reason the
big producer or feed companies
can raise pigs cheaper in pig
factories with their mass pro-
duction than the small pro-
ducer can.
This same thing will happen
to our cattle industry as we
must have our small packers
to make the big ones pay up.
These pro-Marketing board
men were going to force an
election in Huron County to
eliminate me at the polls, but
as electiOn day drew near it
seems their feet got cold and
they decided to withdraw a man.
From information I had gath-
ered frOm producers in the
county I could have had a good
majority over the other 19 pro-
Marketing Board candidates.
One of the reasons I sought
election is because I want to
know where this million dollars
a year that is taken by com-
pulsion is going.
The other year I asked Alfred
Warner, .who is a director on
the Board in Toronto and Huron
coinntitteemata how inueli the
Marketing Board paid out the
previous year in Christmas
bonuses to their employees and
"friends".
I received a letter from Mr.
Warner which stated the amount
WAS $324. I found out later from
r eliable sources the right
amount was $14,500.
It is hard to find out what
these high paid
Dick
like Jake
Kohler and Dick Kohler, who
. Jake's son and assistant
Sale manager to Jake, and
James Boynton receive.
Last Mardi when I attended
the annual meeting of the OM,-
P,1VLB. in Toronto, I asked
some of these big pro market-
ing directors what these men
receive but they turned sour
towards me when I asked them
this question and would not
answer me...
There was adireetoeSmeet-
ing held last year where I was
apparently not 'Wanted. I could
not get an answer as to why I
was not asked to OAS certain
in 4-tirg. 'This organization
likes to keep their secrets in
a Mafia like way.
