however, coulter booted
lengthy *yard field goal. and
the ponthers went ahead ky.
9-6 margin,
The lead was short-lived as
St. Morys come, roaring right
back when Brpce Graham daz,
;led the Panthers with a 40-
yard romp into the end zone and
he booted his own convert to g1Ve
his team a 13-9 margin,
The strong running of nog
momuster brought the kickoff
up to mid-field again and
penalty moved it right
to the St. maryi 35.
The Panther offense couldn't
get untracked for further gain,
,but once again Coulter attempt-
ed to split the uprights with
another three-pointer. It was
no good, but went for a single
to make the score 13-10 when
the receiver was trapped in the
end zone,
Coulter continued to do the
kicking honors and early in the
fourth quarter kicked a10-yard
field-goal after a Panther TD
had been called back because of
an offside.
This, left the teams on even
terms at 13-13.
In the dying minutes of the
game, the fired up Panthers
started to roll and racked up
four consecutive first downs
before being stalled on the St.
Marys six-yard line.
But Coulter stepped to the line
and dropped a, punt into the end
zone and the single point gave
the Panthers all the margin they
needed.
St. Marys had two more plays,
but couldn't penetrate the
Panther defense.
The unbeaten Panthers have
their biggest test of the season
this Friday when they motor to
Goclerich to face last year's
unbeaten conference champs.
