Besides better educational opportunities at their new central, school, Usborne Township children
also have a spacious gymnasium in which to play various games in inclement weather. They also
have regular physical training classes and the spacious gymnasium will also serve for various
extra-curricular activities and assemblies. Some of the boys and girls are shown above obviously

The student council will as-
sist with the planning and or-
ganization of various sporting
and extra-curricular activities
at the school this term.
They will organize assembly
programs and one of their first
duties will be to organize a con-
test to seek designs for a school
crest and the choosing of school
colours.

tion for the Ontario Conference
of the EUB Church is to be held
in Crediton this weekend be-
ginning Friday evening, Octo-
ber 16 and running until Sunday
evening October 18. Rev. Gor-
don Hunter of Toronto is to be
the guest speaker.

held its thankoffering meeting
Tuesday, October 6 in the
church school rooms which
were tastefully decorated for
Thanksgiving.
Mrs. Paul Schenk acted as
pianist and Mrs. Lloyd Lamport
took charge of the meeting.
Scripture was read by Mrs.
Lloyd Hey with a vocal solo
by Miss Doris Swartz.
The study was given by Mrs.
A. Wein, the theme of which was
"To become more acquainted
with Spanish speaking Ameri-
cans". Spiritual Life was given
by Mrs. A. M. Schlenker after
which Rev. Schlenker led in
prayer.
A playlet "A Tale of the
Thankoffering Boxes" was
given by Mrs. Larnport and Mrs.
Schlenker.
President, Mrs. Gordon Ratz,
took charge of the business.
An invitation to meet with the
UCW the evening of October 14
was accepted. The used cloth-
ing is to be brought in the last
two weeks of October. Ten dol-
lars was voted to the CNIB.
The election of officers is to
be held at the November meet-
ing.

sale at Little Current, Mani-
toulin Island, Oct. 1. The buyer
was Leslie Bailey of Evans-
ville. Ten performance tested
bulls from the leading herds of
southern Ontario were sold.
