PEACH JELLY ROLL
1 CAN CANADA CHOICE PEACHES
1 PKG. LEMON-FLAVOURED GELATIN DESSERT
Make gelatine dessert using only one half the water
called for in package directions.
Drain juice from peaches and store away in refriger-
ator for use in fruit drinks, salad dressings, frappes.
Pour lemon gelatine mixture into can to replace juice.
Stir very gently to distribute peaches evenly to top of
can. Place in refrigerator to set,
To serve, unmould onto crisp lettuce leaves and gar-
nish with maraschino cherries and mayonnaise for a shim-
mering party-style salad,
Or, for dessert, simply spoon out of can into individual
dessert glasses and top with whipped cream and a mara-
schino cherry.

Canadian Cancer Society at the

She is president of the Nur,
onig district of the Canadian
Cancer Society and vice-presi-
dent of the Ontario division.
She was, introduced by Mr. Ray
Mills, Exeter, a past president
of the unit,
New headquarters for the unit
which comprises Exeter, God-
erich, Wingham, Seaforth and
Clinton will be in Clinton and,
consequently, most of the new
officers come from that area.
Fred Sloman, Clinton, was elec-
ted president succeeding Mrs.
Joseph McConnell, Seaforth who
served in that capacity for the
past Year.
Briefly addressing the meet-
ing was the martaging secretary
of the Auckland division of the
Cancer Society of NewZealand,
Richard N. Stevenson, who is
on an extensive educational and
administrative visit to Ameri-
can and Canadian cancer soci-
eties to see how they operate.
He said he was very impressed
with the system of volunteers
in Canada.
Annual reports were given.
Campaign chairman DeWitt
Miller, Wingham, reported that
90 per cent of the campaign
quota was attained. Mrs. Harry
Strang, RR 1 Hensall, reviewed
her committee's report of edu-
cation among the public in the
five branches.
Ten members of the Exeter
branch attended the banquet and
meeting.

at the back was accented with
a rosette made of the brocade.
A pillbox headpiece of brocade
held her shoulder-length veil
of French illusion. She carried
a crescent arrangement of red
roses with white stephanotis
and trailing ivy.
Maid of honor was Miss Kath-
leen Webb, London, sister of the
groom, wearing a street-length
dress of bronze peau de sole
with scoop neckline and bell-
shaped skirt with bow at back

guests at a banquet prepared
for them by the WMS members,
Wednesday, October 7.
Judy Burke welcomed the mo-
thers. Linda Heckman said the
grace and after a delicious meal
Pam Ersman thanked the ladies
for their work in serving the
supper.
Nancy Strang gave a toast to
the Church and Mrs. Cliff Ers-
man replied. Debbie Johnston
proposed a toast to the mothers,
and Mrs. John Burke responded.
The girls then surprised their
leader, Mrs. John Boyne, with
a gift.
Eleanor Stanlake led the
group in singing, Mrs. Harry
Strang installed the officers
for 1964-65. President is Judy
Burke; vice-president, Diane
Oke; secretary, Linda Heck-
man; treasurer, Debbie John-
ston.
Mrs. Boyne talked for a few
minutes on choosing vocations
within the church and showed
slides of E wart College In Tor-
onto, which is the school for
training women for work in the
Church.
The evening-closed with the
service for the senior CGIT
during which Pam Ersman,
Debbie Johnston and Nancy
Strang received their white
lanyards.

three-quarter length sleeve s
and back panels extending from
the deep squared necklines.
They carried cascades of white
mums. Flower girls were
Misses Judy and Diane Crane,
St. Thomas, nieces of the
groom. They were gowned in
white and carried nosegays of
white mums and blue button
mums.
George L. Broadbent, Kit-
chener, was best man and Har
vey J. Jeffrey, Chatham, and
Edwin D. Grove, Toronto, ush-
ered.
For her daughter's wedding
Mrs. Smith chose a rose-beige
dress of lace and chiffon with
matching accessories and the
groom's mother chose mid-
night blue crepe with black ac-
cessories.
A wedding reception was held
at the home of the bride's
parents. Serviteurs were Miss-
es Susan Dinney, Elsie Gosar
and Laura MacMillan.
For a honeymoon to be spent
in the Laurentians the bride
travelled in a black wool suit

Given in marriage by her
father the bride chose for her
wedding a floor-length gown of
French peau de sole featuring
a sabrina neckline, three-quar-
ter length sleeves and a semi-
controlled s kirt. A cape of
Chantilly lace draped over her
shoulders and extended into a
panel train. Her bouffant veil
of silk illusion was held by a
wedding ring headpiece of
ring headpiece with veil to
match dress. She carried, a
crescent arrangement of bronze
and gold mums. Bridesmaids,
Miss Elsie Leggitt, Peterbor-
ough, and Miss Carolyn Morri-
son, London, were dressed
identically to the maid of honor
in gold and emerald green res-
pectively.
P aul Turnbull, Dashwood,
was best man and Allan Taylor,
Exeter, and John Hotson, Grand
Bend, ushered,
Miss Judy Gooch, London,
furnished the wedding music and
accompanied the soloist, Miss
Jeanne Isaac, London, who sang
Consecration and 0 Perfect
Love.
A reception was held at the
Latin Quarters. London.
For travelling in Northern
Ontario the bride donned a
three-piece double knit peacock
blue suit with matching feath-
ered hat, black accessories and
corsage of pink rose buds.
The couple will live in Lon-
don.

Guest speaker at the Women's
Auxiliary meeting Tuesday
afternoon was Mr. Clyde Hea-
man, London, who is chairman
of Woodeden Camp and director
of the Crippled Children's
Treatment Centre.
Mr. Heaman is a former
Exeterite and said "It is like
coming home to come back to
Exeter." He gave a general
outline and history of the On-
tario Society for Crippled Chil-
dren. ',The London Treatment
Centre is mostly outpatient ser-
vice and camping has become a
large part of the treatment for
crippled children" he said and
told of the five camps of the
Ontario Society. The work is
financed through Easter seals,
donations and bequests.
The speaker was introduced
by Mrs. Delmer Skinner and
thanked by M rs. Hector Murray.
President Mrs. R. C. Dinney
announced that the Auxiliary
bursary this year was awarded
to Nancy Jane Ryan of HR 8
Parkhill who is now in training
in St. Joseph's Hospital, Lon-
don.
Proceeds for Tag Day Sep-
tember 26 to date are $695.94
with some districts still to be
heard from. The fall rummage
sale is being held this Week
October 18 and 1'7 in the Legion
Hall. The help of many hands
is required for this event.
Mrs. Delmer Skinner, con-
vener of the tray committee,
reported special favors and
serviettes were provided for
patients' trays for Thanksgiv-
ing.
A clip of tea was served at
the close of the meeting con-
vened liy Mrs. R. W. Read and
the social committee.
The new slate ot Officers

Meeting and annual reports
