ettes Thursday night at Hensall
Legion Hall. Her husband John
Baker took over as president
of Hensall Kinsmen Club. Mrs.

Exeter Kinsmen at the joint in-
stallation ceremony.

Rally Day service was held
Sunday in Brinsley United
Church with Rev. John Davies
in charge.
The service was led by the
Sunday School superintendent
Gordon Morley assisted also
by Miss Carol Robinson taking
the Scripture reading and the
story given by Miss Linda
Thompson. The Sunday School
with Mr. Douglas Lewis, or-
ganist, under the direction of
Mrs. Jack Trevithick formed
the choir.
During the service promotion
certificates were given out to
some 16 attendants by the su-
perintendent, Mr. Allen Amos,
kindergarten to primary, Jim
Charles Mickle of Hamilton
and Robert Mickle of Sydenham
Hall, UWO London, spent the
weekend with their parents, Mr.
& Mrs. Laird Mickle and Ann.

holidaying this week in Brant-
ford, Ridgetown and Seaforth.

Mrs. Harold Foster under-
went surgery at Stratford Gen-
eral Hospital Tuesday of this
week.
Miss Pauline Bell was the
guest of Mr. & Mrs. Fred
Chappel and Kenneth, Sarnia,
this past weekend and attended
the Briarwood Arena skating
school where she passed a dance
test, The Willow Waltz.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Jaques
were pleasantly surprised Sat-
urday evening when their family
arranged a family dinner at the
Duff e r in Hotel, Centralia in
honor of their 25th wedding
anniversary and presented them
with a chrome kitchen set fol-
lowing the turkey banquet.
Later the celebrants and one
hundred relatives and friends
gathered at the Crediton Town-
ship Hall for a social evening
and dance with music provided
by Nelson Howe and his orches-
tra from Cromarty. A. presen-
tation was made to them of a
platform rocker by the parents
and brothers and sisters on both
sides.
