W. Fassold and Kim, all of London. LITTLE GIRL DIES Janice Lynn, two-year-old daughter of George and Inez Winegarden, of Grand Bend died suddenly in Parkhill, Saturday, July 4. She is survived by one broth- er, Jeffery, at home, grand- parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Desjardine, Stephen Twp. and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Winegarden, McGillivray Twp. The funeral service was held at the Church of God, Grand Bend, Tuesday, July 7, with interment in Grand Bend ceme- tery. PERSONALS Mr. & Mrs. John Stocker left Tuesday for their new home in Toronto. Mr. & Mrs. Harold Noonan of Windsor spent the month of June at their cottage in Southcott Pines. Mr. Thomas Noonan of Chicago spent the last week with his brother Mr. H. Noonan and Mrs. Noonan. Rev. Maines of Londes- boro conducted the morning worship service at Grand Bend UC Sunday morning and was a guest with Mr. & Mrs, Wellwood Gill. Mr. Frank Allister and Janet Exeter's vacation Rible School marks its 39th birthday this, year, and 4 Peitit of interest- is the fact it has ,grown AiMPSt 10 times in size since its humble inception in •1954. Rev, A. Martin, of the Mennonite church, inaugurated the schlepl and held daily pee, etepe at the gNeterc oach Lines shed at the north end of Fxeter. Enrolment at that school was 29 children and about six staff membere. This weelc there are over 250 children attending the two-week session and there are 24 staff members. It hes moved from its earlier headquarters and is this year being conducted in three Exeter churches. Director of the Bible School is Stanley Sander, pastor of the Meneonite Church, who has held that position for the past nine yeers. In 1955 the school moved into the Mennonite Church which had been purchased that yeer and it was staffed by memberS of that congregation until 1960 when it became interdenomina- tional as far as the staff was concerned, and teachers came from various churches in the community. Due to the fact the numbers had risen to 1'75 in 1959, the use of the Christian Reformed Church was employed. too, and now this year, the students are being taught in these two as well as the Bethel Reformed Church. Enrolment has gone as high as 300 and may come close to that figure before this year's conclusion on Friday. Students are transported by bus from various sections of Exeter. The Herald Press materials are used and the curriculum is graded similar to an elementary school. The Exeter Bible School has classes ranging from kin- dergarten through to grade 10. PLAN PROGRAM A program will be staged by the pupils and their teachers tonight (Thursday) at the Exe- ter arena. Due to the fact the TB clinic will be held in the gymnasium, the Bible School program will be held lathe rink. Everyone is welcome, and due to the amount of space at their disposal, Pastor Sauder noted there would certainly be room for as many as wanted to come. The program will feature some form of entertainment from each of the classes and there will be singing, recita- tions, skits, etc. Theme of this year's school is "Serving God" and the mis- sionary project is to aid the Ailsa Craig farm for boys.
