RETURN VISIT

choir and band students left to
make a return visit with the
students of the W ins t o n Chur-
chill Collegiate Institute at
Scarborough. Local students in-
cluded Sandra Abbott, Dori s
Culbert, Carole and Steve Da-
vis, Tom Hardy and Louise
Cochrane.
Friday the group attended
two assemblies and an evening
dance. Saturday they attended
the dinner meeting of the mu-
sician's organization which was
followed by a concert, at which
the Medway students staged a
30-minute performance. Satur-
day's entertainment also in-
cluded bowling and shopping.
The students stayed with,
those, who had stayed with them,
when Scarborough visited Med-
way.

it was announced that the 99th
anniversary will be held May
3, at 3 pm DST. The guest
preacher will be the Rev. Ken-
neth Hick of Ailsa Craig.
At St. James Church Sunday
April 19 the rector, the Rev.
E. 0. Lancaster welcomed the
Rev. Stanley A. Tomes a for-
mer member of this parish but
now rector of St. Peters Church,
Big Trout Lake, Ont., who read
the lessons and preached the
sermon,
He told of his parish church,
the first church being built in
1860. An older woman died re-
cently who was baptized by one
of the first missionaries. When
the Hudson Bay Co. brought in
their helpers they brought the
gospel with them. He said the
church attendance was very
good with about 300 to 350 in
the congregation. They value
the church and enjoy worship-
ping together.
MARK ANNIVERSARY
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Mill-
son celebrated their 47th wed-
ding anniversary Sunday at the
home of their son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Beckett in Kitchener.
Guests were their two sons,
