An enjoyable evening was
spent at the home of Mr. and
Mrs, Mervyn Hayter, Varna,
in honor of the 20th wedding an-
niversary of Mr, and Mrs. Her-
Vey Hayter, also of Varna. Five
tables of euchre were in play
and the winners were: Ladies'
first Mrs. Wm. Hayter, Con-
solation, Miss Donna Hayter;
Men's first, Mr. Harvey Hay-
ter, low Mr, Glen Hayter; Mrs.
Ken McLean read the address
and Mr. Bob Hayter presented
the happy couple with some
pieces of china. A smorgasbord
dinner was served.
President Ted Mock chaired
the meeting of Hensall-Chisel-
burst United Church Young Peo-
ple Sunday evening. Scripture
readings were given by Robert
MeNaughton, and prayer of-
fered by Cathy Scans. Bill Chip-
chase directed the recreational
period, and lunch was served.

of St. Paul's. Anglican Church
enjoyed their annual Christmas

ener Rangers which ended in a
5-5 tie. Playing defense for the

been a patient at Clinton Public
Hospital, recuperating from a
fall in which she fractured her
hip, was admitted to the Queens-
way Nursing Home, Hensall,
Friday last.

Mr. Sam Oesch suffered a
heart attack during the morning
service at Hensall United
Church Sunday morning and was
removed by Bonthron ambu-
lance to Clinton Public Hospital.
A joint installation of the Hen-
sall Branch of theCanadian Le-
gion and Auxiliary will take
place in the Legion Hall Friday
evening Jan. 17.

ph anage school in Korea.
