Dalton Finkbeiner's Ibn Imaraff was chosen senior champion in the Arabian class at the Canadian. National Exhibition last week. "It's 'a once-in-a-lifetime thrill", said the local breeder. The

three bases. Doug Vaughn con-
nected for his second bingle of
the afternoon to push Harrington
home.
Vollett tossed the nine inning
route for the winners, scatter-
ing five hits, fanning eleven and
walking seven.
Jim Rattray started for the
Combines 'and ran into some
control problems in the first
inning. The curve-balling right-
hander struck out nine oppo-
nents once he found the range
in his five and one-third stint
on the mound.

Scores well in Grand American.Trap Shoot
John Anderson, Hensall, a member of Kippen Gun Club, was one of the prizewinners in the Grand
American Trap Shoot at Vandalia, Ohio, over the weekend. Although his earnings haven't been
announced, they may reach $500. In the first day, he hit 93 out of 100. He was the second highest
Canadian the second day with 97 out of 100 in a competition which drew over 2,500 entrants. He
finished the three-day Shoot with a 92, from a 22-1/2-yard distance.

Each team has won their

Dashwood took the first game
in Hensall Thursday by a 5-3
count and the bean town boys
came back in Dashwood Tuesday
to win 6-0.
The third game is scheduled
for the Hensall diamond tonight,
Thursday, with the fourth in
Dashwood Friday.

McDONALD IN FORM
Cam McDonald was in goe,d
form on the Hensall mound
Tuesday when he limited the
Dashwood youngsters to a single
hit in posting the shutout.
The winners scored once in
the first, three times in the
second and twice in the fourth
of a short, five-inning contest.
Ivan Boa connected for two
singles and Bill Chipchase a
lone safety off the combined
offerings of Eugene Guenther
and Bob' Hoffman on the Dash-
wood hill.
The Dashwood chuckers col-
laborated to fan eight visiting
batters while McDonald chalked
up one less strikeout.
DASHWOOD WINS FIRST
Eugene Guenther, Dash-
wood's ace righthander, held
the Hensall hitters to five safe-
ties and racked up 10 strikeouts
when his team won the first
game of the WOAA final series
5-3 in Hensall Thursday.
Dashwood hit the scoreboard
three times in the first inning.
A pair of walks, an error and
hard singles from the bats of
Bill Schado and Bob Hoffman
produced the opening markers.
The home club got a single run
back in the bottom of the same
frame. A Walk was sandwiched
between one base knocks by
Dave Smale and Bob Cooper to
give Hensall their first tally.
Two free tickets to first and
an error without the aid of a
base hit gave the Winners their
final two runs in the third.
Hensall fought back with One
run efforts in each of the fourth
and fifth but were unable to knot
the count,
