Canadians should attempt to
understand the pro bl e m s of

cite apartheid, Anglican con-
gregations at Exeter and Hen-
sall were told Sunday by Rev,
Canon E. H. Wade, general se-
cretary of the United Society
for Christian Literature in Lon-
don, Eng.
Canon Wade, in London for
meetings preceeding the Ang-
lican Congress in Toronto next
week, said the US, England and
to a lesser extent, Canada have
segregation p r oble m s which
they should solve before chas-
tising South Africa's segrega-
tion problem.
"God calls us to love others,
not to judge them", he said,
Canon Wade said that one of
the most urgent needs of the
church in South Africa is good
Christian literature. In the last
decade, millions of Africans
have become literate and they
are demanding something to
read. Communism is supplying
the need, without sparing the
cost. The Christian church is
still lagging far behind,
Sunday morning, Canon Wade
was guest at a breakfast mee-
ting of the men's brotherhood
group at Trivitt.

IN MEMORIAM —
1)13NSFORD—In loving memory
of a dear husband, father and
grandfather, Percy liun sloe d,
who passed away, August 7,
1959.
Time speeds on, four years have
passed
Since death its gloom, its sha-
dows cast
Within our home, where all
seemed bright,
And took from us a shining
light.
We miss that light, and ever
will,
His vacant place there is none
can fill;
DOwn here we mourn, but not
In vain,
Far up in heaven we will meet
again.
--Ever remembered by his
wife, Children and grand-
children, 8c
