Wade Canon urges understanding Canadians should attempt to understand the pro bl e m s of South Africa before they oral, cite apartheid, Anglican con- gregations at Exeter and Hen- sall were told Sunday by Rev, Canon E. H. Wade, general se- cretary of the United Society for Christian Literature in Lon- don, Eng. Canon Wade, in London for meetings preceeding the Ang- lican Congress in Toronto next week, said the US, England and to a lesser extent, Canada have segregation p r oble m s which they should solve before chas- tising South Africa's segrega- tion problem. "God calls us to love others, not to judge them", he said, Canon Wade said that one of the most urgent needs of the church in South Africa is good Christian literature. In the last decade, millions of Africans have become literate and they are demanding something to read. Communism is supplying the need, without sparing the cost. The Christian church is still lagging far behind, Sunday morning, Canon Wade was guest at a breakfast mee- ting of the men's brotherhood group at Trivitt.
