Belgium family holds first reunion in 'new world'
A Belgium family, the majority of whose members have now emigrated to Canada, held its first
reunion in this country recently at the farm of Jules de Brabandere, RR 6 St. Marys. Five of the
family, and the mother, now live inCanada and the remaining two flew here for a visit this summer.
Mr. deBrabandere, standing left, was the first of the family to arrive here in 1949 and now operates
a.300-acre farm, specializing in cash crops as the family did in Belgium. Seated centre is Mrs.
Robert de Brabandere, the mother. Others of the family include John, of Rannock; Mrs. Louis
Feryn, RR 2 Embro; Miss Mary, a nurse with the Toronto CAS; Mrs. Joseph Delesie, Stratford;

Mrs. Rose Brown, 82, of
Zurich, the former Rose Stelck
and widow' of the late Henry
Brown died at South Bur on
Hospital, Exeter, Thursday,
July 25.
One sister, Mrs. Ella Koeh-
ler of Zurich survives.
The body rested at the T.
Harry Hoffman funeral home
until Monday, July 29 when
services were conducted by
Rev. A. M. Amacher withburial
in Exeter cemetery.
