Among the 50 guests at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Ladd, Orangeville, were M. H.
and Mrs. Elston and grand-
daughter Sheila also the Ladies
Guild of St. Paul's church, Mel-
ancton, near Dundalk of which
Mr. Eleton was a former mini-
ster and Mrs. Ladd was also a
former member.
The ladies held a meeting of
their organization after which a
short program followed in which
Rev. and Mrs. Elston took part
singing two duet numbers, with
Sheila as their accompanist.
Miss Eleanor Ladd played two
numbers on her piano accordion
and Harry Eller, the town ma-
gician, made much fun for all.
A buffet lunch brought the
afternoon to a close.

don died in Victoria Hospital,
London On Thursday, July 25.
He was born at lot 6 Con. 0,
Hibbert Township mid had spent
nearly fifty years in Winnipeg
as an electrical engineer, Five
years ago he retired to London..
lie was a son of the late Mr.
and Mrs. John miller,
On February 14, 1905 he
married Sarah r)ow who tiled in
1912. He was a Member of the
Presbyterian church,.
Surviving are two daughters,
MISS Violet Miller, Winnipeg,
and Mrs. Mona Hocking of Lon-
don; twO brothers, Ralph of De-
troit and Wilber of Hibbert
