Although many of the most staunch are well up in years, they marched Pearly a two -m Ile route through Exeter with hard,, 1y a whimper. The bigger the badges and ribbons they displayed on their chests, the more determined they seemed to be to complete the march in grand style. With past local master Doug Trielmer in colorful King Ham costume astride the white horse, the procession wended its way north within a block of No. 83, then came south through Main St. to Huron, returning to. community pail( on Andrew. Crowds lined most of the route, The marchers were cheered by a large grandstand crowd as they completed. their pro, cession. Chairman Oliver Ja- ques identified the lodges when they paraded past the dais, There were close to 1,000 in the parade, counting bands, majorettes and other special groups. Several thousand more watched the procession, Tough- est workout was given those who carried the colorful, large lodge banners against a fairly strong wind. Some who didn't have pole holsters had difficulty keeping the banners under con- trol. Prizewinners in the parade were: Best dressed and largest la- dies' lodge: Listowel Loy al True Blue. Best dressed men's lodge: Trowbridge. Largest men's lodge: Briton, from North Perth. Best decorated store: Mac- Millan's. Oldest lady on parade: Mrs. A. McWalters, 80, of Fordwich. Oldest Orangeman: H. With- ers, 84, Wingham. Most of the bands had dis- Yi before the fife and drum u4.,E competition could be held but a number were on hand for the individual competitions. Best drummer was Harry Graham, 75, of Bethel lodge, who has been pounding the Orange drum with a flair for 51 years. Char- les McQuillan, Hay township teacher and a member of Maple Grove lodge, Zion, was chosen best fifer. King William displays his sword to majorettes Doug Triebner, Exeter, representing King William in Friday's parade here, shows his sword to Barbara Perry and Linda Thomson, members of the Woodstock Twirlettes, who performed during the celebration. --T-A photo Dinner Menu Served from 12 Noon to Midnight (FROM THE BROILER) (Served with Mushrooms or Onion Rings) PORTERHOUSE STEAK $4.00 NEW YORK CUT SIRLOIN (14-oz.) $3.50 SPECIAL CUT NEW YORK SIRLOIN (10-oz.) $2.75 FILET MIGNON PRINCESS $3.00 JUNIOR FILET MIGNON $2.25 T-BONE STEAK $3.00 SIRLOIN STEAK $2.25 WING• STEAK (15-oz.) $2.50 BROILED HAM STEAK $2.00 (Hawaiian Style) BARN CLEANER SILO UNLOADER & BUNK FEEDER YOU'LL GET BETTER PER- FORMANCE AND LONGER WEAR FROM A BADGER SALES - SERVICE • INSTALLATION John Beane JR.
