ming instruction and wgter
safety. During the tour litera-
ture and regietratien forms for
enrollment in our swimming
classes have been given to every
child. If the responsa to this
venture is any indication, the
registration for swimming in-
struction will be very heavy.
However, John and his staff are
fell), prepared for this.
Both our ball teams see ac-
tion this week with the pee-
wees playing last Monday in
Seaforth and the Midgets Play
host to Centralia on Friday,
June 21 at 6;45 pm. Here's
hoping our teams give a good
account of themselves during
the coming weeks.
This coming Sunday yours
truly will be privileged to go
and teach active games and
sports, for one week, at the
South Western Ontario Recrea-
tion Directors Playground
Leaders Training Camp. This
will be held at camp Kee Mo
Kee and two of our local girls,
Mary Mathers andValerie Car-
ter, will be sent there by the
Lucan Recreation Committee to
take an intense course of in-
struction.
While we are on the subject
of playgrounds I would like to
inform all you perents that a
comprehensive playground and
summer school program will be
offered for your children this
summer, commencing on Tues-
day July 2. For 500 per week
your child will be well looked
after by these very competent
supervisors and will take part
in arts and crafts, active games
and sports, singing and quiet
games, nature study, carnivals,
special events, story telling and
many other activities. Be sure
and send your child for regis-
tration on Tuesday July 2 at
9:30 am. You can rest assured
that your child will be very well
rewarded by attending regularly
Monday through Friday each
week during July and August.
Registration forms will be
in the schools this week for each
child and it is hoped they will
be able to take advantage of
this very worthwhile program.
Apart from school age child-
ren, others of pre school age
may take part if it is so de-
sired. It must be realized that
the recreation committee are

The Evening Auxiliary, held
its meeting at the home of Mrs.
Clarence Haskett, with Mrs.
Mert Culbert, Mrs, E. O. Lan-
caster and Mrs. Calvin Has-
kett as joint hostesses.
The president, Mrs. Don An-
kers took the worship service
and Mrs. Harold Hodgins re-
peated her talk given to the Sr.
Branch.
