She told about the islands and the people who live there, There are one and a half to two million peopleliving on the island that is 15040 miles yet everything is clean. Most of the people carry their burdens on their head—children carried pails of water, the wo- men carried baskets of clothes and meecarriedfive to six logs tied together. Mrs.. Ford said they saw no baby buggies, no waggons or toys for the people are very poor but they are happy. She visited the church where the Queen had attended a service. She showed straw articles and other souvenirs she had brought home.
