dies in 101st year
Funeral services for the late
Miss. Rachael Spencer were held
Monday,March 11 from Ball and
Mutch Funeral Home, Clinton.
Miss Spencer, a patient at
Queensway Nursing Home, Hen-
salt, for the past 14 months died
Friday evening in her 101st.
year.
A native of St. Joseph, near
Zurich, she is survived by a
great-nephew John Rapson, and
a great-niece Mrs. George Cox,
both of Clinton.

where she will spend three

ters from near Toronto have
taken up residence in the Fink

surgery in Clinton Public Hos-
pital on Friday.

Spring flowers decorated the
Sunday School rooms of the
United Church Thursday after-
noon for the LICW unit 4 meet-
ing, presided over by Mrs. E.
Rowe in the absence of Mrs.
N. E. Cook,
The devotienal was conducted
by Mrs. R. M. Peck, and Mrs.
Leona Parke. The study on
Hong Kong was taken by Mrs.
Albert Alexander. The Misses
Carolyn Cook, and Linda Keys
rendered two piano selections.
Miss Greta. Lammie was pianist
for the hymns.
Mrs. George Armstrong took
the chair for the business, and
Mrs. Alexander, convenor of
supply committee, reported on
the quilting project which was
successful.

end in Toronto and attended
the hockey match in Maple Leaf

Young man
heart victim
Robert (Bob) William Sang-
ster, 38, a life long resident pf
the village died suddenly at his
home Saturday night following
a heart seizure.
At the time of death Bob was
assistant CNR. agent at Water-
loo, and was a past president of
Hensall Branch 468 of the Cana-
dian Legion, He was a member
of Carmel. Presbyterian Chur-
ch.
Surviving are his wife the
former Betty Moir of Hensall,
two sons, Michael and Gregory
of Hensall; his mother, Mrs.
Minnie Sangster, Hensall; one
brother, Douglas, London; two
sisters (Margaret) Mrs. Jack
MacFarlane, Forest; (Norma)
Mrs. Herb Stretton, Lucan,
The Legion conducted a mem-
orial service at the funeral
chapel Monday evening.
Funeral services were held
fron the Bo nthron Funeral
Chapel Tuesday, March 12, with
Rev. Ross MacDonald officiat-
ing, who paid fitting tribute to
the life of the deceased. Inter-
ment was in Hensall Union
Cemetery.
Pall bearers were Dalton
Skinner, Frank Varley, Bruce
Moir, Gerald Moir, John Pee-
bles, Herb Stretton, all brother-
in laws.
