final draw of the men's curling
league, only three teams remain
undefeated--Bob Jeffrey and
Harvey Pollen on Tuesday night
and Charlie Shane on Thursday.

closely contested game and the
outcome was not decided until

Roelofson now meets Les Par-

in Dick's rink are Bill Rhode,
George Rether and Bill Pollen.

peripatetic Pedagogues edged
the Moonshiners 73-67 in a real
thriller to move into undisputed

game, had to settle for a 3040
tie with the cellar-dwelling Fly-
ing Farmers. With a slight
miscalculation at the scorer's
table the clubs ended on even

the SHDHS gym.

Top and bottom clubs had
trouble untracking themselves
in close checking traffic. After
the first half of action the
scoreboard read 17-17, at the
three quarter mark the Hust-
lers were in a narrow 25-23.

wed by Xandre Busche and Kris
Gulens with 11 and eight res-
pectively. Janet Blair added six;
Bonnie Turvey and Carol Mc-
Leod scored two each.
St. Marys was never within
reach of tile locals. Quarter
scores were 18.1, 22 1 and
28-3.
Against Mitchell, the senior
girls took a 9-4 lead in the
first quarter and kept widening
the gap throughout the contest.
Top scorer for simi$ was
Xandre Busche with 14 points.
Marjorie McPhee netted 11,
Kris Gulens, eight; plane Hood,
five, and Ausma Guleas, four;
Carol McLeod, two.
JUNIORS DROP SECOND TWO
The struggling junior girls
came up with only one win
during the schednle to wind up
at the bottom of the standing.
Stratford won the loop honors.
The juniors almost won their
second triumph against Mitchell
last Wednesday but had to settle
for a 30-26 loss, after giving
their opponents an 11-point edge
in the first quarter.
Anil Mickle was top scorer
for SHDIE, gaining all but five
of the locals' total. Nancy Kyle
and Iris Marshall contributed
three and two points respec-
tively.
Against St. Marys, the locals
suffered a 31-14 loss, They
held the stone town club in the
first quarter which ended in a
4-4 tie, but dropped steadily
behind during the rest of the
contest.
Iris Marshall and Sue Lin-
denfield shared SH scoring ho-
nors with four points each. Ann
Mickle, Nancy Kyle and Geral-
dine Verkerk each contributed
two.
