Cars crash on icy roads
Slippery roads continue to
cause accidents in the South

Wednesday morning, cars
driven by Mrs. Ross I-Iaugh,
Crediton, and Louis Masnica,
RR 2 Crediton, collided on the
sixthconcession of Stephen,
Mrs, Haugh was travelling
north on the concession road
as the Masnica vehicle was
coming out of a lanewaY. The
latter tried to stop, but skid-
ded into the Haugh ear.
PC Gibbons estimated total
damage at about $450.
Earlier, a ear driven by Ross
Tuckey, 33, Andrew St., skid-
ded into the ditch on the Cred-
iton road, causing $150 dam-
age. The 'driver was not in-
jured,
Escape wreck
Three youths escaped injury
when the car in which they
were riding was wrecked after
it rolled over in the ditch on
the Kippen road.

Two Exeter troops of Boy
Scouts joined together for a
Christmas ,party at the Scout
Hall Tuesday night.
The boys competed in games
and contests during the evening,
then enjoyed lunch served by the
leaders' wives.
They presented gifts to the
leaders, who include SM Bill
Loucks and ASM Hal Hinton of
"A" troop and SM Dave Thomp-
son and -ASM Larry Carter of
"13" troop.
Also present were A. J.
Sweitzer, president: of Huron
District, and Doug Harrison, as-
