I was in opposition to council over the closing of York St. when I learned that we would not get any grant, I asked them to meet the ob- jectors to the closing of the street and I quote the Muni- cipal World of October, 1960. They did not even consider the letters opposing the closing of the street, They contended the objectors should have attended the meeting, yet there was nb- thing in the notice saying that they had to be there. I say the notice was wrong and I refer you to such notices posted by the City of London last sum• mer in regard to closing of streets, 1 also say that Mr, Hay had never asked for nor received permission to make a survey for a tile drain for the suib- division, I did not object to this because the council Was unani• mous in passing this survey Mr. Hay contended that I had agreed to purchase, all of'the tile for the drain which 1 deny as 1 stopped delivery _before any of those tile were deliver, ed.
