history of James Street United
Church at the CGIT meeting
held in that. church last Wed-
nesday evening.
He traced, the beginning in
Devon, England, in 1815, to its
early days in Exeter in 1833
when it was known as the Bible
Christian Church. He spoke of
the first •Wilding, the music,
the pastors and the dress and
customs of the people of the
early church.
He concluded by pointing out
the contribution the church had
made to the community,
'The worship period was taken
by Susan Dinney, Elizabeth
Gos.ar and Kathy Smith. Anne
Fairbairn presided for the busi-
ness.

problems of the New Canadians
from the teen-agers' stand-

Memories of their wedding
day 45 years ago were recalled
by Mr. and Mrs. Aquila Shar-
row, of Exeter, at a dinner and
reception held at Hook's ' Res-
taurant, London, marking their
anniversary,
'Mr. and Mrs, Sharrow were
married NoVenther 15, 1916, in
the Presbyterian Church, For-
est.
Mr, Sharrow is a native of
Grand Bend and Mrs. Sharrow,
the former Edith Levey, was
born at Mitchell. They moved
to Exeter two years ago.
Following the dinner, mes-
sages of congratulations were
extended to the couple and a
gift presented from members
of the family.

white tapers in candelabra
formed the decor in Caven
Presbyterian Church for the oc-
casion.
As the bride entered the
church. escorted by her father
the choir and guests sang the
processional hymn, "Praise My
Soul", with Mrs. Lorne Klein-
velvet, with full, waltz -length
skirts, inatching velvet pillbox
bats and green shoes, They
carried cascades of pink De-
light roses.
Douglas O'Brien, Zurich, was
best man and Herb Turkheim,
