Efficient administration and
orderly progress is what the
pe OR or Ontario can. expect
from new Prerder Nut P,
tobarts, according tO Elmer
D, Bell, QC, president of the
PC party in his second pro-
vincial wide CBC broadcast
1)10nday night,
Mr, Bell cautioned .the people
not to expect any great in -
Crease in social services or
other expensive programhut
he also suggested there may
be, some "radical departures"
from. the Frost era "to meet
the problems a new age is
constantly producing".
The Exeter lawyer outlined
the new premier's background
and his experience in gov't
office before predicting what
type of administration he will
provide.
"If we expect of our new
premier a fiomboyant person
given to ext!avagant premises
and %vide sweeping general-
ities, then we will be disap-
pointed," Mr, Bell
"What we can anticipate is

the facts, and will fulfil his
undertakings to the letter."

Mr,. Bell warned that the in-
troduction of new govt projects
must be temperecl to the pro-
vincial till, ". , the province
of Ontario certainly hasn't any
miraculous way of obtaining
money except from you", he
reminded listeners.
"We in the province of On-
tario are fortunate in that we
have under the Frost govern-
ment enjoyed a tremendous ex-
pansion in our material wealth.
This in turn has enabled a
wide extension of benefits which
the government has been able
to provide. We may expect this
to continue under the guidance
of the new premier, Yes, we
may expect imaginative steps
to promote be development of
young man capable and ener- our province and to accelerate
getic, a person of forward mit- its growth, but we cannot ex -

"Typical of the town's Eng-

Some of the main. street busi-

"Present Mayor Edward Poo-
