WA of the south section of
Huron Presbyterial met in
Whalen United Church in morn-
ing and afternoon sessions. with
the theme `'Into All the World
Together"
Preparatory to joining into
one organization "The United
-Church Women" early next
year both W1MIS and WA mem-
. hers were represented and both
;Mrs, W. G, 'Tiffin, WMS Pres-
byterial president;, and Mrs.
H. Phillips, WA Presbyterial
president were honored guests.
Inning the afternoon session
Mrs. Tiffinspoke on "Stepping
Into the Future with United
Church Women" explaining in
detail the plans and organiza-
tion of the new joint society
for the "total mission of the
church." She and Mrs. P'hillips
',conducted a questionnaire on
the new group closing by join-
: ing hands and "stepping into
the future each with her best
foot forward."
Filling in for the scheduled
speaker, bliss Susie Smyth, re•
tired home missionary who
was detained by the deathof
a close relative, was the Rev,
C. Park, Wesley Willis Church,
Clinton, who told of his trip to
Trinidad and: of the work of
missionaries there, "The whole
missionary effort there is a
miracle and continues to grow"
he said.
The highlight of the morn-
ing session was a discussion by
Mrs. Ball, London, on ways
and means of conducting .Bible
study in groups. She urged
each group to have more in-
tensive Bible study at all meet-
ings,
Mrs, Elgin McKinley intro-
duced the skit "Stewardship
Catches Fire" and dramatized Displays styles
by. Mrs, R. E. Pooley, Mrs.
Hector Murray, Mrs. Arthur

in gold peau. de sole with ruf-
fled sleeves and waistline. A
rust pill box with small veil
was worn and she carried
clusters of white mums with
strands of wheat intertwined.
Similarly dressed were the
bridesmaids, Miss Joyce Ham,
Ilton and Miss Sylvia Cann,
sister of the bride.

the Exeter Legion Hall where

Gordon Simon Smith, Zurich,
exchanged marriage vows be-
fore Rt. Rev. Msgr. Bourdeau
in a double ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs, Percy Bedard,
RR 2 Zurich, and Mr, and
Mrs, Actelbert Smith, Zurich,
are parents of the groom.
The bride, given in marriage
by her father, wore a floor -
length gown of Chantilly lace
and silk net. The bodice was
fitted in lace with jewel•brim-
med bateau neckline and long
lily -point sleeves. The bouf-
fant skirt was styled withlace
panels from waist to hemline in
front and a full tiered back of
lace and net. Her bridal hat of
lace with pearl trim was com-
sion. She carried a prayer book
pleted with a veil of silk illu-
crested with red. roses.
Maid of honor was Margaret
Smith and bridesmaid, Donna
Smith, both sisters of the bride.
They wore similar waltz -length
turquoise chiffon gowns with
bateau neckline, short sleeves
and self cummerbunds with
large self flowers and long
flowing panels falling down the
bouffant skirts. They wore
matching jewel -trimmed hats
and carried nosegays of yellow
and white mums.
