Extensive remodelling
While some of the familiar

former Armstrong's restaurant
have been retained in the
building, the new owners have
done some extensive remodel-
ling to give it even a more
distinctive decor,
The Colonial Room, the main
dining area, has been enlarged
to accommodate over 100 per-
sons at individual tables. The
office has been removed from
the east side and the entire
alcove has become part of the
dining area.
The alcove has been redec-
orated in African cherry pick.

ing refreshing outdoor scenes.
The dining room itself has
been redone in an attractive
French blue color and the dis-
tinctive furnishings include co-
lonial -type lanterns and coach
lamp lights, Specially moulded
chairs, with blue upholstery,
have been imported from
Czechoslovakia.
Two half -casks, planted with
greens, and several large palm
trees contribute to the pleas-
ant atmosphere.
