mer's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
John Simpson and Mr. and
Mrs. John Measor in Windsor.
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Hodg-
son, Jame and Karen were
guests on Saturday at the wed-
ding in Metropolitan United
Church, London, of the for-
mer's niece, Carol Ann. Sum-
mer to John Patrick Morling.
Both bride and groom are
graduates of the University of
Western Ontario and Ontario
College of Education and will
teach at Tillsonburg High
School. The bride's uncle, Rev.
G. Burton Hodgson of Birm-
ingham, Mich., formerly of
Clandeboye, assisted at the
ceremony.
Mr. and. Mrs. Clarence mil -
son, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald
Millson and Debbie were guests
of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Mill -
son, London, on Sunday.
Mrs. Omar Cunningham en-
tertained her niece and hus-
band, Mr. and. Mrs. Frank
Pearson of Cobourg .last week.
They plan to sail for Belgium
about June 30. On Sunday
guests were her son, Mr,
Ernol Cunningham of Glencoe
and her brother and his wife,
Mr. and Mrs. Wilfred Morgan,
of Strathroy.
Rev. Stanley G. Tories, for-
merly of St. James Church,
will, with the rector the Rev.
E. 0. Lancaster, conduct the
service here at 9.45 a,m. on
Sunday, June 18. Later this
month, with his wife, he leaves
to take up residence at the
rectory of St. Peter's Church,
Big Trout :Lake, Ontario where
he has been appointed as rec-
tor by Bishop Hines.

The spring Thank Offering
meeting of the Staffa United
Church WM'S and WA was held
on Wednesday evening in the
church schoolrooms,
Guest speaker for the eve-
ning was Mrs. Lloyd Edighof
fer, Mitchell. Mrs. Arthur
Kemp led in the devotions as-
sisted by Mrs. Sam Norris.
Mrs. Robert Sadler conduct-
ed the business when plans
were made to purchase silver-
ware for the kitchen. Plans
were completed for the straw-
berry social which is to be held
on Monday evening, June 19,
Mrs. Cameron Vivian and
Mrs. Ed Dearing were the
hostesses for the evening.

Mrs. Ross Smale was hostess
for the Historical Research
meeting of the Staffa Women's
Institute which was held on
Wednesday evening, May 31,
'There were 19 members and
three visitors present.
The new president, Mrs. Rus-
sell Worden, presided for the
meeting. Roll call was answer-
ed by "My Future Hobby".
Mrs. Cecil Bowman prepared
and read a fine motto on "Be
considerate of the aged, you'll
get old yourself". Household
hints were given by Mrs. Roy
McDonald and Mrs. Gerald
Agar gave an interesting talk
on the "History of British Col-
umbia".
Miss Bell Campbell, Sea -
forth, was guest speaker for
the evening -and chose as her
topic "Vacation Time". She
was thanked and presented
with a gift by Mrs. Carter
Kerslake.
Miss Vera Hambley and Mrs.
Bert Fellhad arrangedthe
program. Solos by Elizabeth
Smale and. Mrs. Jean Cairn,
Seaforth, were enjoyed. Miss
Hambley read several poems,
Mrs. Tom Laing, Mrs. Gerald
Agar and Mrs. Russell Worden
reported on the District An.
nual held recently at St,
Paul's and said that Staffa's
invitation to be hostess to next
year's District Annual had
been accepted.
The bus trip for June was
discussed and final plans left
to the committee in charge.
