Earl Nell as chairman spoke of the growing opposition to school concerts at Christmas be- cause of the time which should he spent on the "three R's", A show of hands from the audience expressed unanimously the de- sire for the concerts to be con- tinued. Trustees Gordon McDonald and Elmer Powe expressed their ap- preciation of the work done by the teacher, Mrs. M. Carter, and pupils, The concert was unique in that it was produced and planned ivitbout any assistance from the teacher and she assured the audience that the children had used only five hours in their practice tagether.
