WI studies education
Education was the' theme of
the November meeting of Kirk -
ton Women's Institute held at the
home of Mrs. Heber Shute.
Mrs. Clayton Smith gave a talk
an education, new and old, and
conducted a contest.
Mrs. R. Paton reviewed the
motto ,`Every man has, two edu-
cations; that which is given him
and that which he gives him-
self." She stated that public
school age is the romantic age;
high school age is the precision
age and after high school is the
generalization age.
Roll call was answered by na-
ming a famous Canadian wo-
tnan. Current events were dis-
cussed by Mrs. R. G. Ratcliffe,
It was voted to send $10 to
Unitarian Relief and also make
layettes. Gifts were given to the
former club leaders, Mrs. R.
Urquhart and Mrs. B. Shaeffer.
