Hibbert township gave the Lib-
eral standard-bearer a 401-210
margin over Edwards. Blanshard
supported the PC man 373 to 256.
In Lambton East, the majority
of veteran C. E. "Zeb" Janes
was cut considerably but he still
retained a 900 -vote margin over
young Liberal contender Russ
Watson. Final results were 6,740
to 5,829.

Mr.Janes won with a majority
of 1,557 in 1955,
Grand Bend gave Janes a 105
margin and BosanqUet township
added 35 votes to his majority.
In Huron -Bruce, Liberals gave
Rae Watson a chance to upset
veteran John Hanna but the vet-
eran PC member scored almost
identical majority to the one he
received in 1955, 1,475.
