Wildfong-Benson
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wild-
fong, newlyweds, are visiting the
groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Wildfong, Albert street,
while on their honeymoon.
The bride, Alice .Audrey Ben-
son, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Clarence Benson, New Hazelton,
B.C., and Robert Franklin Wild-
fong, Hazelton, B.C., exchanged
marriage vows in Miller Memo-
rial Chapel, Hazelton, decorated
with baskets of tulips, iris and
cherry blossoms.
Rev. W. B. McIntosh per-
formed the double -ring cere-
mony on Saturday, May 15, at 8
p.m. Miss Nancy Palmer played
the wedding music and accom-
panied Mr. and Mrs. A, E. Ben-
nett, who sang a duet.
Given in marriage by her fa-
ther, the bride chose. a gown of
lace with fitted bodice featuring
sabrina neckline and lily point
sleeves and skirt of net over taf-
feta appliqued with lace. She
wore a pearl tear -drop, gift of
the groom. A. tiara of pearls and
sequins held her finger-tip veil
and she carried red roses and
lily -of -the -valley.
Miss yera E. Lyon, Hazelton,
as maid of honor, wore yellow
brocade with matching head-
dress and bouquet of pink and
white carnations. Flower girls,
Joyce and Mary Ann Benson,
sisters of the bride, were
-gowned alike in pink flocked ny-
lon taffeta with net aprons and
carried nosegays of mixed flow-
ers.
Mr. Harold Gould, Hazelton,
was best man and David Good-
ridge and Frank Pipe ushered.
A wedding reception was held
st the home Of the bride where
her mother received guests in a
a beige two-piece dress with
brown accessories and yellow
carnation corsage.
For travelling to Ontario the
bride donned a two-piece mint
green ensemble with brown ac-
cessories and white carnation
corsage.
Mr. and Mrs. Wildfong will
make their home in Hazelton.
Fisher -Johns
In a double -ring ceremony in
,Tames Street United Church on
Saturday, May 23 at 2 o'clock
Janet Marie Johns, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence ,Tohns,
Woodham, became the bride of
Thomas Bennett Fisher, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Clark Fisher, Exe-
ter.
Rev. H. ,T. Snell was the of-
ficiating clergyman and Mrs.
Norman Johns, Ilderton, played
traditional wedding music.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride chose a floor
-
length gown of Chantilly lace
over satin fashioned on princess
lines. Over the snugly fitted ho•
dice was worn a short bolero of
lace with mandarin collar and
long lily -point sleeves. The bil-
lowing gored lace skirt swooped
to a chapel train. Her finger-tip
veil of French illusion was held
by a tiara of seed pearls and
rhinestones. She carried a bou-
quet of red roses.
Her attendant was Mrs. Clay-
ton Brock, Guelph, wearing a
waltz -length gown of peach -ern -
bossed dacron, with which she
carried a bouquet of yellow and
white mums.
Groomsman was Robert COaies,
Exeter, and Wallace (Bud) Fish-
er, brother of the gr000m, and
Gordon Johns, brother of the
bride, Ushered.
A reception was held in 'I'rivilt
Memorial parish hall where the
bride's mother received guests
in a figured blue tone dacron
dress with light blue accessories
and blue mum corsage. The
groom's mother chose navy ehlf-
fon with white accessories and
corsage of white mums. Servi.

A reception was held in the
church parlors. which were dec-
orated in green and pink.
The young couple are on a
two month wedding trip to the
Netherlands.
On their return they will re-
side in Zurich.
The groom is an employee of
McKinley's chick hatchery.

Donna Grace Chomicki, daugh-
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Alexander
Kalichuk, RR. 4 Walton, and
Robert Carl Lenaghan, RCAF
Station, Winnipeg, Man., son of
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Lena-
ghan, Exeter, were united in'
marriage in St. James Roman
Catholic church, Seaforth.
Rev. C. E. Sullivan officiated
and Mrs. Alice Stiles played the
wedding music.
For her wedding the bride
chose a gown of white pelion
with lace bodice. A tiara of
rhinestones and pearls held her
shoulder -length veil. She carried
a bouquet of pink carnations and
white. mums,
Miss Ruth Pinder, London as
maid of honor and Miss Virginia
Smith, London, as bridesmaid
wore identical gowns of blue
nylon chiffon over taffeta with
blue feather headdresses and
white 'accessories. They carried
bouquets of blue and white
mums. Linda Lenaghan, Exeter,
was junior bridesmaid wearing
a yellow nylon dress and carried
a bouquet of yellow and white
mums.
Larry Nightingale, Toronto,
was best man and Douglas Lena -
elan, Exeter, and Veto Cho-
micki, Walton, were ushers,
For travelling the bride chose
a mint -green sheath dress with
matching three - quarter coat,
white accessories and corsage of
roses.
The couple will reside in Win-
nipeg.

The month of May brings
spring flowers and with it come
showers for the June bride, fol-
lowed soon afterward by wed-
ding receptions. We all look for-
ward to these parties and those
responsible for buffet menus al-
ways try to make them look
pretty and taste good.
If you are planning such a
party you'll like this chicken
mold especially for showers and
receptions. Food like this that's
attractive to the eye must also
be pleasing to the palate and
there's an abundance of taste
appeal in this salad.
Chicken salad ring
2 packages lemon jelly
powder
I 1/2 tp. salt
3 1/2 cups hot chicken stock
(fat-free
Dash of cayenne
Dash of dry mustard.
1/2 tp. grated onion
4 tbl. lemon juice
4 tp, sour pickle vinegar
1 1/2 cups cubed fresh
tomatoes
2 tbl, finely chopped sour
pickle
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 cup finely diced celery
2 cups diced cooked
chicken
Dissolve jelly powders and salt
in hot chicken stock. Add cay-
enne, mustard, onion, and lemon
juice. To 1 cup mixture add
pickle vinegar. Chill until slight-
ly thickened. Then fold in a
third of the tomatoes: Pour into
8 cup ring mold. Chill until al-
most firm.
Chill. remaining jelly until
slightly thickened. Then fold in
pickle, 111 a yonn aise, celery,
chicken and remaining toma-
toes. Pour over jelly in mold.
Chill until firm. Until old on
salad greens. Garnish with addi-

sented with a gift prior to her
departure for Oakridge Acres.
