second goal early in the second
period before Brussels got on the
scoreboard. Todd MacDonald as-
sisted by Kevin Wheeler and Troy
Smith scored Brussels first goal of
thegame. Clinton added their third
to end the second period at 3 - 1.

but couldn't get the third to tie the
game. Troy Smith assisted by Tim
Fritz and Kevin McArter got credit
for the first goal with Rob Cardiff
and Jim Bender getting the second
goal. The difference of one shot on
net won a very close hockey game
with a total of 29 shots for Clinton
and 28 for Brussels.
The Bulls were at home to the
visiting Mitchell Hawks. Mitchell
scored the first goal of the game
before Jim Bender assisted by
Kevin Ruttan and Rob Cardiff
added one for Brussels.
Kevin Wheeler assisted by
Kevin McArter and Troy Smith got
the go-ahead goal for Brussels to
end the first period.
Tim Fritz assisted by K. Wheel-
er and Dave Schmidt added
another goal for Brussels in the
second but so did Mitchell to keep
the game within reach.
Each team scored a goal in the
third period to end the game at 4 - 3
for Brussels. Kevin McArter as-
sisted by Mike Vincent and Todd
MacDonald scored the only Brus-
sels goal. The Mitchell goalie must
have been glad to see the game
over as Brussels out-shot the
visitors 41 - 24.
Next weekend will find the
Juniors with two home games.
Howick will be the visiting team on
Friday night at 8.45 with Tavistock
