Junior Choir sings
in Toronto church
The Junior choir of Knox United
Church, Belgrave, enjoyed an
exchange visit on the weekend with
the J unior Choir of Northlea United
Church, Toronto which is under the
direction of Professor W. A.
Andrews.
The children had an afternoon of
sight seeing on Saturday and both
Marjorie Procter of London
spent last Wednesday with her
mother Mrs. Elizabeth Procter.
Mrs. Elizabeth Procter was a
dinner guest on Saturday evening
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Larry
Mayberry, Marily, Kimberly and
Darryl of Londesboro.
Jeremy Campbell, son of Mr.
and Mrs. John Campbell, cele-
brated his fifth birthday at the
home of his parents, November 21.
Attending his birthday party
were Michelle Pletch, Allie Cul-
bert, Julie Snow, Kendra Folkard,
Jody Walker, Shannon Cook, Ryan
Cook, Luke Lockridge, Jamie
McCallum, Michael Marks, Mat-
thew Campbell and his little
brother Justin.
Mrs. Florence Coultes has re-
cently moved from Listowel and is
now making her home at 300
Minnie St., Wingham.
Approximately 44 Dawson rela-
tives gathered at the W.I. Hall,
Belgrave, for afamily dinner on
Sunday, November 24 at 1 p.m.
Mrs. Elizabeth Procter visited
for a few days with Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Zettler, Sherry and twins
Amanda and Alicia of R.R. 4,
Walkerton.
Jennifer Procter, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George Procter of
R.R. 5, Brussels had the honour of
winning a Silver Tray.
This award was donated by the
Bank of Montreal, Clinton for the
highest score for the first year
Swine Club members.
Jennifer also won the Bill
Turnbull award for second place
with the Yorkshire which was
donated by Bill and Marie Turnbull
of Brussels.
GeOrge Michie of Belgrave has
been named the new president of
the Huron County wing of the
cancer society, replacing retiring
president Mel Farnsworth of God-
erich.
Other county officers for the
1985-86 term are: vice president,
Angus MacLennan, Goderich; sec-
retary, Wendy Tremeer, Clinton;
treasurer. Marg St. Louis, Goder-
ich; campaign chairman, Murray
Hunter, Wingham; vice chairman,
Mel Farnsworth.
choirs sang together at the morn-
ing service on Sunday.
The choir was accompanied by
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Morton and
Heather, Mrs. Robert Gordon,
Mrs. John McIntosh, Mrs. Murray
Vincent and Mrs. George Proctor.
The Belgrave children are look-
ing forward to a return visit from
the Toronto choir next spring.
Miss Melanie Scott, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Murray Scott has
recently moved to Toronto where
she has accepted a position on the
nursing staff of St. Joseph's Health
Care Centre.
Clayton Bosman has returned
home to Prince George, B.C. after
visiting with his parents Mr. and
Mrs. Gordon Bosman.
Sunday visitors with Mr. and
Mrs. Robert Grasby were Mr. and
Mrs. Cecil Armstrong of Thordale,
Mr. and Mrs. George Johnston,
Tara and Erin of Ilderton.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Collins,
Mrs. Beulah Jones and Mrs. Stella
Whitehouse of Hanover visited last
Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Leonard
James. On Sunday Mrs. Ella
Johnston and Mrs. Rella McTeerof
Paisley visited at the James home.
Mr. George Cull is a patient in
University Hospital, London.
Mrs. Stanley Black and her
brother Laverne White have re-
cently reiorned home by plane
after visiting with her son and
daughter-in-lav, Mr. and Mrs.
Kenneth Black and family of
Brandon, Manitoba. They also
visited with Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Newton of Hamiota, Manitoba.
EUCHRE RESULTS
Eleven tables were in play at the
weekly euchre which was held in
the W.I. Hall Wednesday evening
November 20.
Winners were: high lady, Mrs.
Bert Johnston; low lady, Mrs.
Agnes Bieman; novelty lady, Mrs.
Verena Bone; high man, Rob
Nicholson; low man, Lorne Jamie-
son; novelty man, Mrs. Lorne
Jamieson, (playing as a man).
There will be euchre again this
